Carolina Day 2020
On Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, UofSC alumni and South Carolinians will come together in a concentrated effort to support higher education. Learn how you can help spotlight our university’s vital role in fostering both our state’s and citizens’ economic well-being.
Why Carolina Day Matters
Last year was an historic year for higher education in South Carolina. Thanks to the support of the Governor and the General Assembly, The University of South Carolina was able to freeze tuition and fees at seven of the eight UofSC System Institutions, while UofSC’s Columbia campus tuition and fees increase was the lowest in over 20 years. None of this would be possible without the help and support from advocates like you!
Carolina Day 2020 will mark the beginning to what could potentially be the best year for higher education in the state’s history. We applaud the Governor and the General Assembly for continuing to see the importance and true impact investing in higher education can have on the citizens of South Carolina.
Help Us Share Carolina’s Story
We want to help show our state legislators the many ways Carolina benefits the people, communities and industries of S.C. On Carolina Day each year, we invite the community to join us in advocating for the university’s ideals and mission while also sharing their own unique and inspiring stories of how UofSC has changed their lives. So, whether you are in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville or across the globe, make your voice heard in support of UofSC on Carolina Day 2020.
